I create fused glass art specializing in glass made with dichroic accents. Fused glass is an ancient medium of extraordinary beauty. I create and hand shape all my jewelry, combining layers of dichroic and transparent glass to achieve unique and beautiful results. Dichroic glass is a specialty glass originally created for NASA, but it eventually attracted artists because of its beauty and amazing colorations. It is created by spraying a thin chemical film on the glass in a vacuum chamber. Dichroic glass reflects one color and transmits another (Greek di = two, chroma = color).
